Objective of the study: To assess the level of pre-test knowledge of nursing students at Galgotias University School of Nursing about the negative effects of smoking and tobacco. A post-test assessment of the level of knowledge of nursing students at Galgotias University School of Nursing about the harmful effects of smoking and tobacco products. Correlation of pre-test and post-test education levels and selected demographic variables of Galgotias University School of Nursing students.Item Open Access “A ST UDY TO AS S ES S THE EFFECTIVENESS OF STRUCTURED TEACHING PROGRAMME ON LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE REGARDING PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT OF PREGNANCY INDUCED HYPERTENSION AMONG ANTE NAT AL MOTHER’ S OF NOORA HOS P ITAL SRINAGAR J&K” .(Galgotias University, 2023) Rahim, Owais; Sharma, Kapil; Ms. Nancy Thakur, (Supervisor)Pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) complicates 6-10% of pregnancies. It is defined as systolic blood pressure (SBP) >140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) >90 mmHg. It is classified as mild (SBP 140-149 and DBP 90-99 mmHg), moderate (SBP 150-159 and DBP 100-109 mmHg) and severe (SBP ≥ 160 and DBP ≥ 110 mmHg). PIH refers to one of four conditions: a) pre-existing hypertension, b) gestational hypertension and preeclampsia (PE), c) pre-existing hypertension plus superimposed gestational hypertension with proteinuria and d) unclassifiable hypertension. PIH is a major cause of maternal, fetal and newborn morbidity and mortality. Women with PIH are at a greater risk of abruptio placentae, cerebrovascular events, organ failure and disseminated intravascular coagulation. A urinary tract infection affects 8.8% of Indian pregnant women. UTI often begins in the sixth week and peaks between the 22nd and 24th week. Bacteriurea is found in 4% to 8% of all pregnancies without causing any symptoms.
